Four months ago, if you had told me we would still be in the midst of a pandemic in June, I would not have believed you. The plans for my campaign consisted of the traditional variety: door knocking, hosting events at area restaurants, and mailing out campaign information. I was incredibly excited to engage our community and share ideas about our future in Shelby Township. As we begin to reopen our Township, social distancing guidelines, as well as our shared goal of preventing COVID-19 spread, make most of these traditional methods of campaigning downright icky. The times have changed and I've adapted my campaign to find creative new ways to engage voters.
Instead of knocking on your door, saying hello, and telling you about myself, I'm going to try and do the same thing virtually. I've put together a quick snapshot of my professional life, complete with my knowledge skills and experience that make me uniquely suited to earn your vote for Shelby Township Trustee.

"Shelby Township is my home. I've lived here for 20 years. I'm a business owner and actively engaged in our community. I have the education and experience required to deal with the challenges our Township faces as we move forward from our stay at home order."
I'm ready to lead. In 2017, I was selected by Michigan State University to participate in the Michigan Political Leadership Program. This program seeks out up-and-coming Republicans and Democrats from across the state, with the goal to learn from one another and gain leadership skills useful to a future in politics. This program was instrumental in helping to hone my focus on how I could best serve my community.
I am happy that our township has evolved from a rural community to a thriving center of mixed use enterprises. As we continue to grow, it is important to have a Township Board that takes a thoughtful approach to development and investment in our Township while preserving our charming small town character. We need experienced voices on the Board that will make tough decisions with the long-term goals for our township in mind, not simply catering to hot-button issues with an eye towards elections. We deserve Board members that will adhere to a standard to measure all petitions for investment in our Township to attract the right projects for business development. Together, we can make Shelby Township a great place to live, work, and play.
