Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide was gracious to invite me to attend the recognition ceremony, so I could witness first-hand the heroism and selflessness of our police officers. I am proud to be a member of a community that resources its police department with the knowledge, skills and tools to save lives. The Shelby Township Police Department is truly focused on both protecting AND serving our community.
I fully endorse our police department and all emergency service personnel. Ensuring that our first responders are well-trained and capable of managing various critical situations is crucial for our township's ongoing prosperity. This inspiring anecdote highlights the effectiveness of our officers' training. I am dedicated to voting to ensure that our police and fire departments have all the necessary equipment and training to enable them to carry out their duties securely and effectively.
