Why I'm Running For Shelby Twp Trustee

"Shelby Township is the best place to Live, Work, and Play. The Community of friends and neighbors that make up our Township is what makes us great. I'm running for Shelby Township Trustee to represent you!"

I love Shelby Township. I'm proud to say that I have called Shelby Township home for over 20 years. My Family is here. My Business is here. My Future is here. My husband and I are raising our daughter here in Shelby Township. My interest in the success of Shelby Township is Personal. This is my Home.

I am the daughter of Italian immigrants and grew up in a large extended family with a central focus on faith and family. My parents instilled in me a strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility. They instilled in me personal courage, and taught me to stand up for what I believe in.

My husband Rob and I are drawn to serving our community, and it defines us as a family unit. He supports me in everything I do, from encouraging me to sit on the Planning Commission, to supporting my pursuit of being the best educated and qualified candidate I can be, and for standing by me while I take on this Campaign for Trustee.

Likewise, I am proud that Rob serves our nation every day as an Officer in the United States Army. I am honored to know that he raised his hand to deploy to the Middle East in 2019, knowing his contributions across the region - from Egypt to Afghanistan - would make an impact. I love that he's a quiet professional who will answer the call and stand up for what he believes in. And, I am amazed that he takes on the toughest cases in the military, fighting for justice every day, while maintaining his signature laugh and smile. My hope is that we are setting the best example for our daughter Gaia. She's only 2, but I hope she develops the same passion for giving back to her community with her special talents and in her own way.

In 2011, I began a small boutique law firm in Shelby Township, and since then I have lived the lessons I learned through my parents’ examples of hard work, shared family responsibility, and strong faith in God. These tools gave me the courage and fortitude to persevere and prosper as a business owner, attorney, and counselor to my clients. I treat every case as if my own personal liberty, money or property is at stake. As Trustee, I will do the same, and treat our community with same fairness and fiscal responsibility. My business has thrived in Shelby Township, and I love going to work everyday in the community that I love.

My dedication to family and faith also inspired me to become active in my community. In 2013, I vowed to become more involved in the future development of our community, and was fortunate to be recommended by Supervisor Rick Stathakis to sit on the Shelby Township Planning Commission. Since 2013, I have seen first-hand the interest to develop in our Township. There is a reason people want to live here: Shelby Township is best place to live, work and play! Based upon my performance, Supervisor Rick Stathakis and the Township Board of Trustees have reappointed me to the Planning Commission ever since.

In 2017, I was selected by Michigan State University to participate in the Michigan Political Leadership Program. I was honored to be considered an up-and-coming Republican to learn and grow with other leaders, on both sides of the aisle, to hone leadership skills useful to a future in politics. I was laser-focused in taking this opportunity and using it to best serve my community.

I am running for Shelby Township Trustee because I believe Shelby Township is a great place to live, work and play. I want my daughter to grow up in this Community and share the love I have for its charm, our friends, and our neighbors.
